I’m so full of myself that I actually quote myself. People should do that more often. You know, every once in a while you spit out that pearl which just makes you go: Aaahh. You repeat the words to yourself, tasting them as if they were a delicious piece of chocolate.
#6 “I’m not saying that what I’m feeling is love. I’m just saying that I love what I’m feeling.”
During September to November of 2006 I planned, executed and finished a coast to coast USA tour with my music and poetry. It was till this day one of the biggest adventures of my life. In late October I arrived in New York and after having been house and cat sitting for Mr Taylor Mali and his wife I booked a room in a hostel in Jackson Heights, Queens.
One evening a new guest arrived and her name was Kristin. She was speaking to the hostel owner as she came in. It was a clean west coast American accent so you can imagine my surprise when she approached me to say hi and in the cleanest Swedish accent said:
- Hej, jag hörde att det skulle vara en svensk kille här. (Hi, I heard there was going to be a Swedish guy here).
I burst into laughter by the sudden change of language. I hadn’t heard a word of Swedish in months and there stood this beautiful woman with piercing eyes and burning red hair. And there I stood, an Assyrian immigrant from Sweden who wanted to flee Sweden, suddenly giggling over hearing that language I was supposed to call my own. Right then and there, in this dodgy hostel in the middle of USAs ghettos, it felt like home for a moment. The evening progressed and we stayed up all night talking. Read the rest of this entry »
My dear friend America Vega Pascual has ever since I released “I am reality” in MP3 showered me with compliments about it. The piece was a defining moment for me in my life and it apparently inspired her as well to pursue her own dreams.
Today I turn 31 and what better way to celebrate it than to look back at one of those defining moments and stories that shaped me into who and what I am in this point in time. I have so much to be grateful for and equal amount of things to be upset about but having lived on this planet for a number of years now I’ve understood that positive future comes from positive thinking in a positive presence.
So, I would like to dedicate this piece to myself, my friends and family and especially Miss Vega Pascal. I am truly blessed in this life. I love you, thank you all.

In 2008 I made a promise that I would go swimming on new years day. Unfortunately I fell ill during that time so I’ve waited one long year to get my revenge and I finally did!
Me and a bunch of friends went down to the pier in Sliema and jumped in, happy new year!
Recently in Sweden, it was decided by an indoor public swimming facility to allow women to swim topless. The reason for this was because gender equality, that the same rules should apply to both women and men. I had a conversation about this with a woman who studies gender science and it led me to the conclusion that these people are quite frankly out of their minds.
Why? According to her it’s about desexualizing the female breasts. I have to ask, is that really a road we want to take? I asked her if she really didn’t want her man to look at her breasts and become aroused, she said it would be different because they share an intimacy together and that would make her breasts desirable to her man but any other sets of perfectly shaped tits would be like… ehm, shoulders, or something.
Call me a caveman but I don’t think women want men to stop becoming horny by their exposed bodies. Am I wrong? I’m not saying women should be objectified and that they need to be naked to be validated by men. I’m just saying sex and nudity has a time and a place and should remain a tiny bit mystified. Another reason is that I as a (hu)man kind of would like to choose when I want to see naked people. I would like to choose when I get aroused by someone. I simply don’t want to see naked women everywhere because walking with a erection is pretty damn hard (until it becomes desexualized which then probably would lead to pretty damn boring sex).
To the above stated and last mentioned reason many feminists would argue that it’s my problem if I become horny because a woman shows “too much” and that it shouldn’t be a woman’s problem if a man gets turned on by the way she dresses. Well, the day your man stops looking at you in any type of sexual way because your body has been desexualized, then you’re the one with the problem.
Let’s pretend that the “shared intimacy” between a couple would be a valid explanation to how it would be different between seeing nudity on the streets and nudity in the bedroom. Let’s pretend that it is my problem that I become aroused by women’s naked bodies. Let’s look at it from the perspective that (the male dominated) society has shaped my sexual identity and that breasts make me horny because they are covered. In this case I would be called the predator and women would be my victims (pet nearest women on the head now).
Let me then ask you this. What about makeup? Feminists (who use makeup) strongly and passionately argue that they have to wear makeup to be accepted by society. That, if they don’t wear it, they are considered outcasts and weirdos. They say they are victims of a society which has shaped them to believe that they are not beautiful without any makeup. They say that they are victims. Again, victims.
I will speak for men all over the world and say that, we don’t care about your latest foundation or eyeliner. Sure, a little makeup can look good but between a little makeup and Lady Gaga there is a lot of room for customization. Yet women see themselves as victims in this.
If women are victims in this regard, what are we as men when it comes to our fixation of breasts and nudity? We have grown up in the same society which has told us that boys don’t cry, feelings are for girls and tits are awesome. We get bombarded by airbrushed silicone women all day everyday and you want to talk about being victims and us being predators?
Let’s face it. Sex is already oversaturated in society and feminists need to get over this whole Predator/Victim issue. We are all victims and predators within the confiding walls of society which tells us to supersize, touch up, tuck in and flip out. At this point I’m not far from reducing these feminists to insecure women with penis envy and I’ll be damned if let that come between me and juicy boobs.
