Why Assyrians should be inspired by Malta.

If my backpack could talk.

The places it’s been, the things it’s seen. Our adventures started in Gothenburg in 2003 when I and my girlfriend broke up. My backpack and my computer was all I had with me to Stockholm, breaking a four year spell which had left me apathetic and uninspired to even write poetry and music. It wasn’t all bad, like I said, I had my girlfriend…. But still, new adventures were waiting.

Getting to Malta in one piece, with sanity intact.

My stomach has turned inside out from stress, trying not to forget anything and thinking a million what ifs. Still I ended up forgetting all my coins and bills of different currencies I wanted to change at the airport. I also managed to brilliantly take the home keys to my friend’s apartment as she drove me to the airport shuttle and when she came back home she realised what had happened, amazingly without freaking out over my stupidity. Fortunately another friend is coming to the same airport later today to pick someone up so I simply left the keys in a envelope at the information desk, awesome!

Goodbye Sweden. Hello Malta!

IMG_0247 I want to say it’s the dawn of a new era as dramatic music plays in the background with my voice echoing out into the void which is my destiny. I say void because that’s what it is. The future is an empty bowl of nothing and it’s up to me to fill it with all of life’s fruits.
