There is a dark room in my mind that won’t open.

DSC_6970I rarely have nightmares, I mean literally almost never. I’m a man at peace with myself most of the time and even though we all have good and bad days it never gets to the point where I actually panic. I’ve had trouble sleeping two nights in a row now and as I laid there feeling to hot, to cold, to tired and to annoyed by the fact that I couldn’t sleep I finally drifted away into dreamland.

A lonely Assyrian heart.

IMG_2498 A few nights ago I was browsing youtube randomly, watching videos of Assyrian weddings, parties and people just having fun and goofing around. My heart felt heavier and heavier, to the point that I actually felt a physical pain. A longing for my family, my people and my language.

Even smart guys make stupid mistakes.

I had one of those days today, just chilling at home by myself. I have metal chairs at the dinner table and they make a horrific sound when you drag them across the floor so I decided to glue on some nice pads on them. At one point some dirt came in to the tube and clogged the hole.

What women want.

DSC_7615 I have to tell you, I am confused. Since my, apparently very controversial decision to not have sex with the woman who whispered “I want you to fuck me, I have a tight pussy” there has been a quite the controversy and discussion among me and my friends regarding this matter. My male friends thought I had lost my mind, not to have taken such a chance. Some of my female friends thought I did the right thing and others didn’t even believe it happened because they thought I just made it up to make myself look good and therefore making it easier to score with the ladies.

The airport philosopher.

IMG_2433 It’s with great anticipation that I finally settle down in my spot with the perfect view of the airport gates and the people waiting. Airports are very special in that sense. What other place and situation can be more extreme? I’m imagining that if the energy from humans could be harnessed, contained and transformed to electricity we wouldn’t need any nuclear power.
