The missing link in the monogamy construction.

I was invited over to a friends house for dinner and to catch up on things and to meet his girlfriend. He is one of those guys, you know, sweet, smart, compassionate and creative. The problem was he always kept meeting these absolutely, unrealistically, Alfred Hitchcock terror chicks. He really wanted to be in love and to share his life with someone special and I guess to some extent that blinded him to the level of idiocy of the women he met.

I on the other hand, who was a neutral bystander always called his girls out, always saw their flaws and I wasn’t shy about letting him know what I thought, maybe sometimes being a bit to honest about it. It came to the point where he stopped introducing his girlfriends to me, didn’t even show me photos because of what I might say. Not that I was ever wrong (ha ha, sorry)… but, yeah anyway. If you’ve followed my stories and blogs you probably know that monogamy VS polygamy has been a recurrent theme through the years. Summer of 2009 is over and many, many people have gone on vacations without their partners, committed adultery and cheated on their partners. Some of them with regret, some of them without. I’ve made my peace with monogamy and I’m not saying it’s not cozy and fuzzy but after this summer especially I can safely say I have very little or no trust in it as a practical functioning concept.

Faceoff – Portraits of People

I fell in love with photography back when I was just a 12 year old child. When I was 14 we started to have photography lessons as part of art class and that was the first time I got to use a SLR camera. Since then I’ve gone through many cameras from analogue to digital.

Technically I’m skilled with many years of handling the camera and as far as timing in my photography I seem to keep being at the right place at the right time with a very happy trigger finger but one of my weakest points in photography, according to myself, has always been portrait photography. A t-shirt says more then a 1000 words.

A few years back I used to be very creative with t-shirt prints. As new interests grew bigger other things got put to the side. The “Love lives here” t-shirt was originally made in Swedish back when I used to travel and perform a lot. It sold very well and people are still today making requests for me to print up more of them. It had the same blood red color and white print but with a different font. A new portal for a not so new artist.

I know, it’s been ages since I wrote anything. What can I say? It’s been summer, hot, hot, hot and between snorkeling, dancing salsa and other activities starting with Sssss, I simply have not been in a creative mood.
