Pocketcam + Laptop = Music video.

after-effects2I had a conversation with a friend about the obsession people have with things. You know, to the point where we no longer own our things, they own us. We buy, we use, we discard and we never stop to think what we can actually do and accomplish with the things we have.

I was first referring to how I started DJing at the age of 13, how I would beatmix between a cassette deck and a vinyl player by weighing down the needle with coins and erasers. I then mentioned music videos as an example. How huge amounts of money are being poured into something which most of the time is very random, pointless and nobody notices anyway. I said, I could make a music video with a point and shoot pocket camera and a laptop. My friend said I couldn’t… challenge accepted. Read the rest of this entry »

Little fluffy clouds.

Clouds have always been a source of inspiration for me. I love watching them, flying under, in and over them. I guess in many ways they represent most emotional states of us as people and maybe that’s why we feel so connected to them. The dark and aggressive clouds, the white and fluffy ones, the powerful and the slow moving. We are all represented in the sky.

DSC01670_3Yesterday I came back home to Malta and as much as I’d like to tell you how amazing if feels. I will let the photos do the talking. Also, what you don’t see is what’s inside my backpack, my fins and snorkeling gear. Yes, I was snorkeling today!

2 more kilos and a heart full of love.

burning I’m on a flight back to Malta from Sweden, looking out at a sky resembling more to endless rainbow rather than a sunset. Colors from the darkest red to the deepest blue form a endless horizontal line outside my tiny window.

I spent 10 glorious days in Sweden after 10 months of being on the yellow rock of Malta which I’ve come to call home. After the first couple of days I realized how much I had missed my family and friends, I decided I will never let this much time pass before I go to visit them. Something happens to friendships when you spend so much time apart. The real friends emerge like angels, bending in all 3 dimensions to make time to meet. The other friends, well… I hold no grudge but if staying in touch is not a priority then I fail to see the point of me making them a priority. Read the rest of this entry »
